When you lose power and you have to "re-boot" all your clocks

You attempt to re-boot your Grandfather's typewriter.

I can see them all making you a geek, but how do the first two make you a 'computer' geek?

However, you know you're a computer geek when you complain about people using "impact" as a verb but then talk about "accessing" information or, when asked where you found something out, blythely reply "Oh, I just Googled it."

You know your a geek when you play Eve online!

Not a joke but i downloaded the trial version of Eve MMO and after 5-6 hrs of playing this game i realize I am not a geek cause that's what Eve was made for, Geeks!. Beautiful looking spacesim first thoughts were who needs spacesims like X series when there's Eve available. I just didn't find clicking on dots in space to make your ship head in that direction fun at all!

*cough*

I played EVE for 2 years, it's a great game...once you get used to it

Nobody will enjoy EVE just from playing 5-6 hours...

Its no WoW thats for sure. I think the point was that you have to be willing to dedicate hundreds of hours into the game in order to get anywhere.

I played EvE for quite a while but the socio political aspects of it got to me in the long run.

Im playing Jumpgate now

Yeah i know i should of stuck with it, but I'm sure some of the 30 tutorial missions are bugged, I get a mission to go mine choose the set destination & undock now all i see is tiny squares no direction where to go to mine i end up finding some to mine get the requirement needed to finish mission head back to base only for mission "not complete" Apparently i found out i was in the wrong area thanks to the helpful GM in chat, even though i was mining the correct mines so i fly to the correct area once im there i get a message i must be in the rookie area to do this mission please choose one of the following (just a bunch of planet destinations to pick from) so i choose anyone warp speed to the area which took a good 5-10min don't know how i came to be so far away from the rookie training area. Once im there i start mining the 1665 mines needed head back to base only for mission 'not complete' apparently i was again in the wrong area! by this time frustration set in. SO i start all over again with a new character and same thing happened. Then i tried just flagging the tutorial missions and just get on with playing the game but would find myself in the wrong area or i mined the correct mines but in the wrong area! :damn:
The GM told me to stick to them cause i will get a new ship once the 30missions are done. Just found it to frustrating this is a geeks paradise!.

I still have the game might give it one more attempt in a few days.
