Al Qaeda says would use Pakistani nuclear weapons
http://alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/LL556282.htm
Pakistan has around 60 nuclear weapons which are believed to be stored with the nuclear heads and the conventional explosives igniting them stored separately in an unassembled state, with carrier systems also located separate. The military control and security system has been upgraded after 2001, with the proliferation desaster of 2004 putting the efficency of that into question again. http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/nuke/RL34248.pdf Conclusion: it is an utmost priority to find out the storage site(s) of the nuclear components of Pakistan'S nuclear weapon arsenal, and to prepare options to destroy these quickly if a state of emergency arises. since diplomcy certainly is unfit to gain this information, infiltration seems to be the option of choice. Success nevertheless is uncertain, but we cannot afford to ignore the need to gain this knowledge about location of sites. |
I'm sure the US already has plenty of people over there. The ISI isn't exactly difficult to infiltrate.

I've little doubt they would, so all the more reason for finding out where the ordnance is hid. I'd be more concerned about the Pakistanis giving them one :hmmm: |
