This mod will replace the stock mouse arrow. i changed the pointer arrow color to green to better stand out against the background and i made it change to a red color when you were passing over something interactive.

it has a 2D look to it now but i find its easier on the eyes that way.

i also corrected a small alignment issue where the pointer of the stock mouse arrow wasnt the true alignment point. that has now been corrected and the point of the arrow is accurate now.

i included pictures of both versions so you can see what they look like and compare sizes before you install it.

this mod works for any game version and if any conflicts show up with other mods then just install this mod last and overwrite any files.

installing this mod last will not effect how any other mod works, it is a purely visual image mod.

if you want a smaller sized mouse arrow or just want to see it better, then you will like this little mod.

there are two different sized versions of this mod to choose from:

Webster's Better Mouse Arrow v1 (25% smaller) - makes the mouse arrow about 3/4 of the size of the stock version

Webster's Better Mouse Arrow v2 (full size) - changes its look but keeps the arrow about the same size as the stock arrow.


Install info:

As with all my mods, this mod is jsgme ready and it includes a read me file. Open the downloaded zip file and then open the mod folder.

Inside you will find the read me which will tell you about the mod, some pictures showing what each mod version looks like along with pictures of the stock arrow to compare it to, and the 3 actual mod folders.

the pictures are only there to show you what the mod will look like and you do not use them.

choose only one mod version to use and put it into jsgme.

this mod is reported to work fine for use with sh5 as well

Webster is there a way to do this also for silent hunter 5?

You can use it directly with SH5, the same way you would have done with SH4, using your sh5's JSGME mod enabler.

thanks, my eyes arent that great plus the stock arrow looked kinda lame IMO
