trouble extracting mods
Im trying to extract mods so i can use jgsme and i keep getting a failure notice saying that the specified path cannot be found. Any ideas how to fix this?
|
Uh?
For sure you are trying to extract using the wrong path, but anyway extract the files wherever you have them (usually inside my documents folder or maybe downloads) then cut and paste the extracted mod into the JSGME Mod's folder and you will be ready to go. Just one thing, when you extract the file, be sure you cut or copy and paste the folder with the data folder inside and not XMOD\XMOD\Data or your mod won't work even if JSGME says it loaded it.

JSGME didnt create a mod folder when i installed in to my SH4 directory it just placed a icon in the folder for me to open up JSGME, i dont know what I did wrong i had no problems with JSGME on my other PC

i find its much easier to drag and drop your mods into jsgme, open jsgme drag any mod over the left window and drop it there then highlight it to install it. |
Right on

Right on Webster, it is easier that way since I can put the mods ready to load and do not waste time trying to clip them. |
well now when i try to download into my SH4 folder it says I dont have permission and i need to contact the adminstrator, only thing is I am the admin, wow windows sucks

yes vista and the new version, whatever they call it now, sucks but there are tricks to get around those hassles. do not install games in your programs files, create a "games" folder on your "c" drive or some other partition and install your games there. look around and you'll find a sticky on this forum about vista installations and how to solve game issues with it |
i got it to work, thanks for the help guys
