BRINK

Recently, some indications surfaced about a new title from Bethesda. Yesterday, the first teaser popped up. It really doesn't show much, like teasers usually do (or don't), but it has me intrigued.

Kotaku article:

A few days ago a trademark for "Brink" popped up from developer Bethesda. What is "Brink"? It's a game, and this is its teaser trailer.
Let's see there's a futuristic city scape, an eye ball and some blood, but no gameplay footage. The title is multi-platform and will be out "Spring 2010." That's next year, you know.
Official game site, currently only content is the teaser.

who is the builder of the game, Jos Brink ? lol
anyway teasers don't show always the real game, so we have to wait and see :03:

I'm intrigued but my computer will most likely not be able to run it. Is it just me or did the narration voice sound like that of the elven voice from Oblivion?

Same studio, so could very well be. :yep:

Mengle, I agree it really doesn't tell much about the game. Still, it peaked my interest and I will be following this closely. Expect more news as things develop. After all, news has barely been out a week on this one, if that. :salute:

Could this Brink be Bethesda's MMOG they aiming to put out :hmmm: (I doubt it - wishful thinking). Could find very little on this Brink wait for after the 2009 Electronic Expo more info will be available then.

Found this though which you elderscrolls fans probably already knew. An elderscrolls MMOG  :yeah: Elderscrolls universe! If it works if could be the WoW killer.

Of note, Bethesda and ZeniMax are also at work on a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, having secured $300 million in funding for it and other development projects in 2007. However, Bethesda's MMOG in question is widely believed to be set in the publisher's popular Elder Scrolls universe.
Bethesda had not responded to requests for comment on the filing as of press time.

Nearly a year ago to the day, Bethesda Softworks entered into a long-term development deal with Enemy Territory: Quake Wars developer Splash Damage. Details on that project have been held under close wraps, with Bethesda surfacing to talk about the project only when Splash Damage adds a high-profile developer to its team. Such recent additions include Fable II lead designer Paul Ham and Killzone 2 lead level designer Neil Alphonso.

Now, with the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo just two weeks away, the name of that project may have surfaced, courtesy of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. On Friday, Bethesda Softworks parent company ZeniMax Media filed an application to trademark "Brink" with the USPTO.
When it is approved, the filing will secure a claim for the name on "computer game software for use with personal computers and home video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices." The application also lays claim to "entertainment services, namely, providing on-line interactive computer games and providing information relating to electronic computer games via the internet."
