SH3 mission editor trouble

The mission editor in SH4 works fine for me, but in SH3 the map won't fill up the whole screen and zooming on the portion I want to see is next to impossible.

Here's what it looks like. Is this normal or is there a fix available?

No that is not normal I'm afraid.

Are you usung the original ME that comes with the game or the newer version?

Are you double clicking on the map where you want to zoom?

Also make sure that the hand, measuring stick, and/or the timer tools are not selected.
:)

Yeah I'm using the one that came with the game. Is there a newer one available?

I have a one called MEx2, I can't remember the difference between the two atm

This is what happens when I zoom in the map.

That's nothing to do with the ME controls....the installation is corrupted.

I'm running SH3 with GWX 3.0 and my game runs fine so I dunno what's going on :hmmm:

The SH4 mission builder works fine though but I can't use it to look at the GWX 3.0 single missions.

Are you using the hi-res mod for Sh3? I had to temporarily remove the d3d9.cfg and d3d9.dll to another folder in order to use the Mission Editor. Afterward I put them back and all was well. Neither version of the Mission Editor liked the hi-res mod.

jmr 05-19-09 11:29 PM

That did the trick! It never even occurred to me that the high res mod would even affect the mission editor like that.

Thanks, Uber!

Never thought of that

Nice one Uber

@jmr....I can send you the newer ME if your interested.
