Loss of U Boot Front Clasp

Hi,

After my second patrol in my present career, I received a batch of U Boat Front clasps which I duly distributed. Oddly there were insufficient for all the crew all of whom were orignal members.
Of I went on patrol and when I returned there were more UBF clasps which I assumed were for the remainder of the crew who had not received them first time round.
Imagine my surprise when I came to issue them to find that none of my crew had the clasp at all.
Not to worry off I go again and now I have got back to base, Willemshafen, and I find one solitary U Boat Front clasp. And, yes you've guessed it, nobody has a clasp at all!!

All other awards are still there Iron Crosses First and Secnd Class.

Has anyone else has this happen?

Did you check the pawn shops on shore. Perhaps some of your crew hocked the clasps for one more St Pauli Girl (either the beer or the lady)?

I am on patrol now at 100mtrs, am going outside to contemplate and may be some time!!!
