Whole lotta shakein goin on !!!

Just had a 5.0 quake !!! The epicenter was about 5 mi. away.

Been thru bigger but still a wakeup call.

Kapitan_Phillips 05-18-09 07:28 AM

Glad to hear you're okay  Was there much damage?

AVGWarhawk 05-18-09 08:40 AM

Look for a second show. Hopefully less than a 5.0!

SteamWake 05-18-09 09:03 AM

That must be frightning.

I spent a month in california one week scared the whole time of an earthquake.

I dont know how yall do it.

FIREWALL 05-18-09 12:18 PM

Thx Guys. No damage at either house thank the stars above.

I felt one large jolt that lifted me up about 6 inches from my chair.

I was watching STTNG on dvd and thought a car hit the house or a house nearby blew up.

We have natural gas here for cooking and heating as opposed to elec.

Glad you're okay.:yeah:

bookworm_020 05-18-09 07:16 PM

Glad to hear that your safe. Just don't go using the gas for awhile or it might end up like San Fransisco did in 1908:o

Buddahaid 05-18-09 07:21 PM

I thought there was another 5.0 nearby there a few days ago.

Felt it here in the San Fernando Valley about 40 miles away. It was just a slow rolling motion here for about 7-10 seconds. I thought the dog was moving my chair. Was listening to my headphones for a sound contact in SH3. Looked around, no dog, dang must have been a quake. But of course nothing like the Northridge Earthquake in '94. That was 3 miles away and I had about $50,000.00 dollars of damage.........

Sailor Steve 05-19-09 06:43 PM

Glad it's alright. I was there for the dam-buster in '71, and we've had some dish-rattlers here in Salt Lake from time to time.

Always entertaining, but never fun.

Never felt a earthquake. sounds intresting. (like the trampoline from hell)

We over here on the east coast... get hurricanes.

Jimbuna 05-20-09 08:20 AM

Never experienced such a phenomena but been to a few of the aftermaths. :o

Pleased to hear your okay mate :yeah:

Raptor1 05-20-09 08:24 AM

There were supposedly several noticeable earthquakes around here over the last couple of years, but I never noticed a single one...

I say it's a conspiracy that goes up to the highest levels of power!
