Does anyone know where I can get this Bugfix?

Hi Mates,
i know there was a fix for GWX (maybe BBW??) about this issue:

Does anyone know how to get this bad reflection of an impact away?
Any help would be very appreciated.:yep:
Best regards

Wasn't that a by-product/consequence of some third party water mod? :hmmm:

Looks fairly normal to me. After all, would you expect clean sailors to be jumping in for a swim after spending weeks inside a cramped tin can? :O:

On a more serious note...

It would help if you could list any mods that make changes to your u-boat, effects, or the water. I'm betting it's a conflict between one or more.

This could be right. I use OLC 1.8 (Part 1) without scene dat. The scene dat is from GWX 16km. The materials and particles dat are modified ones from LSH4 and damage texture clean (no residues).
But i am sure that there was a fix for this issue. But i could be nearly a year ago.
Best regards

The fact that you've hacked together a handful of different environmental and damage mods would introduce some unintended side-effects. Using a scene.dat from one mod can throw the settings out of kilter for the other, as an example.

I think that you've got a situation here where the flaw resides somewhere in scene.dat or materials.dat, due to the damage reflection on the water being the problem. I recall something about altering materials without making adjustments for scene.dat would cause bugs with reflections and other effects.

I think that's the 2.0 - 2.1 version of GWX your useing.
It's the 7c reflection fix by Reece you need.

That fix was included in GWX 3.0

Hi Privateer,
thanks for your reply. I was sure there was a fix. I could not find this fix on Recce FF-Page. Do you have this fix? Maybe Reece? Or someone else.
It would be nice if anyone could upload this fix.:yep:
Thanks in forward and kind regards.

Best regards

BTW: LSH4.1 is advertised for September!

Hi

as NGT wrote, it is still called LSH3 - LivingSilentHunter3 - because it is a MOD for Silent Hunter III.

The actual Version is 4.0 - which will be updated by September 2009 to Version 4.1.

It might have helped if you could have been more specific in the first post about which supermod you were using, A6.

I doubt a bugfix for GWX 2.x would work for LSH3, despite Rowi & Co. using parts of GWX in their mod. You might be able to adapt it by making a comparison of the original GWX files the bugfix corrects with the same files in question with LSH3, assuming the bug has the same cause.

LSH3 is still in its infancy, featuring bugs fixed years ago in GWX and other supermods. Just bring these things to their attention and, hopefully, these bugs will eventually be fixed.
