1st mission RFB - photo recon
 

I'm sitting in the Harbor (Tokyo bay) on a photo recon mission. No matter what I do; appraoch in slow. or???, the camera does not come on. What's the key here?

You need to lock the scope on the ship I believe.

I'm not positive about this because I am waiting for the new RFB before I install it again but I think RFB uses an invisible ship rather than a visible ship for the target... which is much more realistic IMO - simulating a recon of port facilities etc.

In any case, lock on to the target and get in closer should do the trick to light up the camera.

When I do lock on, the A in my aft torpedo control comes on. That's not the camera icon is it?

Look for the camers icon at the control bar when you are at the periscope station. If you get a good lock it will light up then click on it. You may have to get more than one photo of what is out there in order to complete the mission. Also make sure you are close enough to the Icon on the map. I forget whether it is 500 or 1000 yards. Save your game once you complete it successfully then sink the bastards....:salute:
