:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

This looks like it could be a fun hobby. I used to mess with telemarketers, but then I realized it was just mean and I stopped. This could fill the gap :D

My last one was supposedly from the FBI :o:DL

Raptor1 05-13-09 09:51 AM

Oh, ROFL, I should try that out once :rotfl:

I especially loved the one about the Godfather

I love that website. I also have Shivermetimbers' book. While it is a fun little hobby, make sure you read the guidelines and or get a mentor from the website to learn how to do it properly as these guys can be dangerous (as low of a possibility that they can get to you) and you don't want to take chances.

I love the fact that a death threat is considered a trophy! :D :haha: :rock:

Here is an article on it:

When your hobby is baiting 419 scammers (also known as Nigerian scammers or advance-fee fraudsters), a death threat isn't cause for concern—it's a trophy worth bragging about to your friends....

I read through some of the letters & they're really funny (particularly the sheep shagger one).:rotfl:I still wouldn't want to string one of these people along though. There's always the chance (albeit slim) that they could find out who I was & that they might know someone (like a refugee claimant or a landed immigrant) here & get them to pay me a visit!:gulp:

As long as you don't pay them first!

It could happen. Some (a very small number) of these people seem to be pretty resourceful.

SUBMAN1 05-14-09 08:11 AM

Uhhhh....... No. They are good at scamming people. They will not be flying in from Russia or Nigeria to take you out, and no friend they have helping them scam is either. They are most likely on some FBI wanted list as well so risking arrest?

THe reason Nigeria is a popular place for this is because theie ar practically no laws against it. THey are free from prosecution. Leave that place and now the world wants you.

I'll leave the baiting to braver souls. Besides that, I don't have to the time to be bothered with this vermin...

Baiting? Is that what they call it when people don't agree with your around here? I was simply making a statement.

Trust me though, if I want to bait you, I'll push your buttons. Though, this is not a tactic you will typically find me using because I like telling it like it is instead.

I think that you misunderstood what I was saying. I was not calling you vermin. That term was meant to describe the scammers.
