Stock Campaign: Want to Serve in Mediterranean
 

My A.I. superiors have gone nuts and are sending me on patrols from Lorient to almost the southern tip of Africa. This makes for agonizingly long campaigns, even with the time acceleration maxed out.

Which flotillas serve in the Mediterranean so I can apply for a transfer?

I think La Spezia (Spain) is the nearest flotilla in the med to get to S.Africa,if I am not mistaken.

I am currently based at S.Nazaire,and havent had missions near the med or Africa for many months now.The Ruskies are my main concern at the moment,Stalingrad is kicking off! :arrgh!::arrgh!:

If you want to patrol the Mediterranean, there's the 23th\29th flotilla (I don't know if there's in the stock sh3 too). For south America and South Africa areas (Mediterranean is different) there's the 12th flotilla (with type IX Uboats).

You must be serving in a Type IX if they're sending you that far south. You can transfer to the Med, but you'll have to trade in that IX for a Type VII. ;)

In the stock game you only get to serve in the 29th Flotilla which has a start date of May 1st 1942 (if I remember correctly; it's been a long time since I played the vanilla game). GWX adds the 23rd Flotilla (where I'm currently serving) where you can start on October 1st 1941 from Salamis, Greece (a GWX added base). You are automatically transferred to the 29th when the 23rd disbands.
