a greeting and a rather noobish question
 

hey, i'm kinda new at the whole submarine thing. i recently got Uboat missions and now, whenever i want to go to the measum, the game crashes. and one other thing, the gun turret textures of the KGV battleship, dido CL and the sommers DD aren't showing. any help would be apperciated.

Sounds like a reinstall of both games might be a good start :shucks:

What are you computer specs?
Have you patched the game?
Have you updated your video drivers or tweaked it in any wierd way for another game?

Have you installed and uninstalled any mods?

You know this (crash at the muesium) was a known bug at launch which I had believed fixed with the patches.

Its been a long time but Ill see what I can find on it.

I have to ask... have you patched the game to v1.4? Or is it straight from the DVD? You might want to download and patch SH4 to version 1.4 if you haven't already done it...

it's been patched up to 1.4. however, at that patch, i noticed that the turret textures went missing. the measum option was still working though. as for any mods:

Silent Fire 1.5.2
Deck Gun cheats
German Voice Pack
Torpedo Cheats
Yamato 1.15
HMS Repulse

You said you have the uboat missions, that is patched to 1.5 so you don't need the 1.4. If I read that wrong, I would disable all the mods and see if you still have the problem. If you patched 1.4 over the uboat add on, I would do a reinstall since the uboat add on is 1.5.

errr...what i ment to say was that it was already up to 1.4 then i went and upgraded to Uboat missions / 1.5

you cant install updates with mods installed which is why your game got corrupted.

uninstall the game then delete the sh4 folder in your documents files then reinstall the game and the ubm v1.5 update.

next reboot your computer before running the game (this im told will ensure files are saved, updated, and backed up properly)
