Everyone should have a chief of staff !
The First Lady
Work-Life Balance a Challenge, Says Michelle Obama, But Having White House Staff Helps http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-d...9050702332.jpg First lady Michelle Obama greets Jeanette Rivera Boria, project leader of Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson company, and David Lissy, CEO of the Bright Horizon Family Solution, at a meeting with representatives from Corporate Voices for Working Families in Washington. (Yuri Gripas/Reuters) By DeNeen L. Brown First lady Michelle Obama called her "current life" in the White House "a very blessed situation, because I have what most families don't have -- tons of support all around, not just my mother, but staff and administration. I have a chief of staff and a personal assistant, and everyone needs that." "Everyone should have a chief of staff and a set of personal assistants," Obama said with a laugh as she spoke before a crowd of business executives meeting today during a "Corporate Voices for Working http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/...challenge.html I want one too, oh wait I would have to pay for it :06: |
They're just people like the rest of us, remember?

I don't have $500.00 tennis shoes either:88)

I just wish someone would pay $250k on my wardrobe...

I perfectly understand that she needs a support staff. She is after all a busy lady. I am sure her comment was in jest
I hear her mom is enjoying her stay as well. :yeah: The steak dinner partys are fine with me also. It's just that all these things are stacking up giving the impression that whole lot of partying is going on. |
I would not say a whole lot of partying is going on. The White House is the peoples house and they have opened it up to enjoy. However, I have not received my invite. I'm sure it is forthcoming. :hmmm: What I find interesting is they do go out on the town. That I have not seen, well, ever to be honest. In all reality I think they are genuinely regular people just with some strange ideas on how to run things.

I have a Chief of Staff. She's called my Wife.
The cats are our support staff. Now granted they can only keep the rodent population down and provide comedy relief but I have high hopes for the addition of a dog soon. My empire grows! |

Actually, this thread tends to make fun of the typical conservative, without even trying. Go figure....:|\\

Of course, I am just guessing because Enigma rarely makes any kind of clear point. Evidently conservatives are so far beneath him that their opinions do not warrant his consideration or comment. It's a pity that the rest of us are too biased or ignorant to understand his opinions, otherwise he might take the time. What I think he fails to understand is the objection to government officials(especially democratic ones, being "for the people" and all) being treated like royalty. But I really wouldn't know. All I have to go on is his occasional one-liners, and one post where he responded with an actual opinion because I accused him of the same thing he is doing now. Quote:
I've yet to meet the person who questioned their own judgements because someone called them an idiot. |
I understand she was joking and making light of it. Just wondering what Enigma is saying or is it just an enigma? :hmmm:
