TM 1.7 - Getting fake damagereports when reloading savedgame

I've used the TM 1.7 mod (latest with hotfixes) for 2-3 days now and I've encountered a wierd effect whenever I reload a saved game:

At the instant the game is loaded I hear and see all sorts of damage and damage-reports. Leakage, lights fluctuating and a large plume of smoke rising from my sub..Eventhough I'm 6 or 60 meters under water. Then all of a sudden it all turns to normal and there is no damage..The smoke is still there though which doesn't really help my stealth abilities.

Anyone experienced this?

(also posted the question over at UbiSoft forums)

EVERYONE!!

irritating game start... I think it happens when you save in the middle of action. The game state-machine takes time to normalise..:o

This is how the game sets your sub back to the state when you saved. In other words, did you have damage in the game then saved? If so, when you reload the sub will go through it damage and repairs just how it was before you saved. It is strange but it does remind you that your sub is buggered.

So its not TM? Ok then..Thank you Ubisoft then...:damn:

What about the smoke-plume rising from the subs location? It is still there even after the damage & damagereports subsides and doesnt cease.

That's interesting. I've never had a smoke plume...

And you didn't even describe the full extent of this behaviour.

For instance, my sub always makes a rapid on-a-pinhead turn to the current course (as when I saved) on loading a savegame. I hear overlapping torpedo-launch sounds for every torpedo I fired during that save so far.

That is why I always turn off my speakers on loading :rotfl:

Wow! That's stuff I've never experienced either. The most annoying thing that I have to do is restart the engines.

Right, another one.

Perhaps those weird issues are based on your Copy-code that you have to enter when installing this game. So everyone gets a unique mess when loading savegames :D

I get the mysterious smoke plum that follows your boat every now and then. It is usually gone on the next restart of a saved game. I have experienced this since the game came out. I have seen it about 4 times in total in the past 2 years. What I do is save the game when any smoke from damage is not present. Not sure if that helps but it seems to work ok for me.

I have a perfectly legal store-bought copy spank you very much.

So yes a plume of smoke. I dont remember getting one before I installed the TM mod but I wont swear on it. Normally when I reload a game I'm in the mid of getting from point a to point b so I simply go to the nav-map and hit time-acc...In other words I could have missed it in my pre-TM games.

You did not read my post previous to this one:hmmm:. This smoke deal started with modding the environment from what I recall. TMO has the enviro mod in it thus making this issue. Like I stated, save away from burning ships. I have seen this about 4 times in 2 years of playing. The next time you load your save it should be gone.
