Damn those bloody neutral yanks!

Yes, this is a rant, i feel the need to explode and tell this. For the first time since i began playing this game i made contact with a convoy during the "happy times", just 1 V&W Destroyer as escort and at night.

First i start by jumping from my chair and hop all around the room. After getting over this overjoy i get my Type VIIB in position and pick a first target...nice, a T3 Tanker, wait, WTF!!! American flag!!!. I pick another, this time a British C3 Cargo, not bad. I set for a salvo of two torpedoes, fast speed and impact at 5 meters depth. Its in range, LOS!!!. I watch the torpedoes going straight to the target and then a god damn American Passenger Liner gets in the way!!!. Torpedo Impact!. Torpedo Impact!.

Ship sunk! SS Montcalm (Passenger Liner), 12185 tons. Cargo: Passengers. Crew: 983. Crew lost: 9

Nein, nein, nein!!!! :damn:

Why me?. Why do i have the worst luck in videogames?.

If you can quickly take out the whole convoy & escort, then they can't prove anything.

After that i began firing torpedoes from bow to stern without caring who the owner of the ships was. I began the attack at 21:51 and ended at 23:29 when i ran out of torpedoes and gun shells.

70026 tons sunk, 13 merchants and 1 destroyer...negative renown.

I really hate those yanks, they should stick with the japs and leave the Atlantic for us and Tommy.

Failing that, blame the whole thing on Bernard - everyone else does:har:

As an aside, my grandfather was one of the British home children who was sent to Canada in 1923 in the SS Montcalm.

Be glad it was a game and not real life.:rotfl:

Or be glad that out of almost a thousand crew and passengers only nine were lost. Of course if you survive the war the folks at Nuremburg might not see it that way.:dead:

Well, if they can bomb a city trying to destroy a factory, i can sink a Passenger Liner trying to get a C3.

-Does the prisoner has anything to say in his defense?
-Yes, it was war, bitch, your bombers killed a lot more civilians!.

Sure that should get me out of the mess :D.

I dont think so. Now i have everything planed. On the last days of 1944 ill ask for a transfer to 11th Flotille and as soon as i have the new Type XXI ill sail to Argentina. Peron will be so happy to have such an advanced tech on his hands that he will let me and my crew stay on the country.

:yeah:

And just think, thirty-seven years later you can sail it out to take a crack at HMS Invincible in the Falklands War. ;)

By the year 1982 the word Tommy has a completely different meaning so you're cool.

Ever since I was a young boy, I played the silver ball
from Soho down to Brighton, I must have played them all..... ;)
