It is highly impressive tho I highly doubt John Doe can push it that far on a tank of gas.

Ford can compete I will give it that. But just barely. And only because it was not addicted to the SUV craze like GM was.

Ford is in decent shape, although I personally wouldn't be buying stock in them. Alan Mulally is a great guy to have at the helm.

@ Neal That Torino you posted in my Poncho thread was considered a mid-sized car in it's time. :haha:

And they state the Fusion is mid-sized. :har:

Ford is fine for the moment. The problem currently, if GM goes Chapter 11 this will give them time to retool and work on things that reduce overall costs to produce cars all the while no one asking for the payments owed on loans. GM has the potential to reduce costs of everything during the chapter 11 protection and can come out a sleek car company. Ford does not have this option and must continue to operate and pay bills as normal. In the meantime, find ways to reduce cost and keep up with the potential that GM/Chrysler could survive under Chapter 11 being a great company when the smoke clears.

However, I prefer to purchase from a stable car company and I think most are in the same mind. This is what Ford has going for it in this present climate.

Kind of reminds me of CSX's commercials stating they can haul tons of freight some large number of miles on a single gallon of fuel. Hell yea, as long as its downhill ! :rotfl:

Eco-Driving - It's a stupid name for driving sensibly, not ridiculously fast, smooth gear changes, properly inflated tires (lol etc)
