Multiple GWX careers?
 

Did SH2 or SH3 vanilla allow you to slip through the Straits of Gibraltar and wreak havoc in the Med...without a flotilla change? I have this distant recollection of being able to slip into the Med...or maybe I'm just getting old :doh:...I remember a few patrols trying to prevent resupply convoys from reaching Malta? Anywho...

I'm wondering what would be involved in running 2 seperate GWX3 campaigns? Obviously SH3 Commander and JSGME would require entries before starting SH3, depending on if I wanted to play my saved Atlantic theater campaign or a Med campaign?

Anybody running 2 campaigns in seperate theaters with GWX? If so, how are you going about it?

Use MultiSH3; just download and follow instructions

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but there is a "GWX France to Med" mod out there somewhere. If I remember correctly it adjusted one of the flotillas so that you could sail from Brest into the Med a couple of months earlier than what the game normally allows. It was designed for GWX 2.0 or 2.1 so I don't know if it would be compatible with GWX 3.0.

I have 6 Careers running at the same time in 1 install of GWX 3.0 and SHC.

My initial interpretation after reading one of the responses was that the OP was after multiple installs as opposed to multiple careers/campaigns :doh:

That is what I was after, Jim. My concern was making the right changes to JSGME installed mods and SH3commander settings before I start, but after reading further, as long as I am only trying to get into the Med, from the Atlantic (or vise versa??), neither of these require any changes?

It seems I will be "teleported" to Salamis or La Spezia (depending on the date a transfer request is granted) without the fun of sneaking through the Straights of Gibraltar...at least that is what I've gathered from the posts here? Is there a mod like Murr44 mentioned (France to Med) that will let me actually sail to my new Med base in GWX3.0?

I suppose the other option is to start a new campaign in October 1941, with SH3 cmdr, and choose the 23rd flotilla. One thing I'm wondering about is the possibility of splitting my current, lone campaign in the 2nd flotilla into 2 seperate ones in Oct. '41. I would transfer to Salamis and somehow save that, at arrival, as a new campaign in the Med while still leaving my Atlantic campaign out of Lorient intact. This is just me burning up more brain cells but I wonder.
