USSR Campaign Idea's&suggestions
 

Like mentioned in the Training school thread
post here your suggestions and Idea's.

I will try to make a template and from that I base Co-Op missions on
using mainly the late war USSR aircraft.

Basic suggestions -

Campaign Title: People's party : Assault on Memel

our Squadron title: Gulagwaffles

Campaign map:

Any USSR aircraft in particular you would like to fly:

Any kind of Mission you would like to play, Yes? then I need to know the following:

-Objective (Interception, bombing, Escort, ground attack, fighter sweep, anti shipping etc etc)
-A little story along the lines of the objective to have a bit of a briefing.
-Enemy activity : Suprise me or name what you would like to destroy/intercept/bomb/sink

You'd have ships leaving and coming, the town and any forward defense position the german might have to bomb while the fighters would fight back the desperate Luftwaffe efforts to cover the evacuation of Wehrmacht from Memel.

Cant remember which map it is, but Memel is in IL2, just cant remember how big the city is.

Cant really give any input for this,as USSR. aircraft has no interest for me. So whatever the majority goes for, i'll try and show a bit enthusiasm, cant promise much though:hmmm:

Hmmm, I don't know much about the Soviet Air Force, so I'd have to pick the Hurricane. Regarding missions and that, again, not very clued up so no real idea. Kuban might be an idea, but that's about it. :hmmm:

I think I'll go sit with Kratos.

According to Wikipedia the soviet union had some Spitfires&Hurricanes
like said I don't really mind putting them in the selection of aircraft.
I try to mix the aircraft selection too between the sorties so we fly a bit off all.

I see if I can patch up a introduction mission for this evening.

We'd obviously need Pe-8 flattening raids against Memel itself, alongside the usual Peshka and Sturmovik ground-attack and convoy raid missions

The Axis would have to have Ju 52s trying to resupply the besieged city and being good targets for interception (Aside from the necessary convoys coming in and out to evacuate the civilians)

How about some Soviet paratrooper attacks with flyable Li-2s?

Oh, and as the representative of the People's Party, I expect that this campaign will be good...Da, Comrade?

Oberon, it's Petlyakov Pe-8, Peshka was the nickname for the Pe-2

For the Pe-8s, put them in seperate 1-plane flights, so the AI could bomb even when we fly them

For the plot, we could have it set after the Lolwaffle's disastrous last sortie in the Battle of Stalingrad, with the Lolwaffles ending up being captured by the Soviets and used for brainwashing experiments before being drafted into the VVS

Oh, right, you better have some of those too, doing the usual recon and tactical bombing

Just don't let the fascists near them, so they can't learn our secret technology
