Captain's Log v0.2 What does it do please?

I downloaded and installed this mod today, however when activated I cannot find anything different about SH3. Could someone let me know what this mod is actually for and how it is supposed to be used?

I think most of the mods come with a readme file but not sure about this one. I never heard of it before.:oops:
