Anybody know what this is?...
|
If it is German I would guess it is the same type deal Rolls Royce did with their Phantom chassis and made it a armored type car with a machine gun on tip. The doubled the wheels on the rear to carry the weight. Probably something similar.

I think it might be a Czech Skoda PAII "Zelva" or "Turtle", rather than German or VW.

For some reason it reminds me of the Battlepods from the Robotech Anime series.

It's a Kino Kar! :D
Actually, I was thinking it looks like a prop from Fritz Lang's Metropolis. |

This was the Rolls Royce version. I suspect WW1. It was the Phanton Silver Ghost chassis. So, similar to what you have.

A motorised chastity belt for a giants wife. :O:

I want that thing to stand up on legs and say with a computer voice "DROP YOUR WEAPONS. YOU HAVE 30 SECCONDS TO COMPLY." as the machine gun pods come out.
|
although it did come from a VW forum (www.thesamba.com) it is DEFINITELY not VW
do any of you rlly think a 24hp engine is gonna push that thing? so yea its probably some kind of special built armored car |
My first thought was VW also.
The headlights, and nose bear a remarkable similarity........... and I have seen pre-production / prototype beetles with those slit windows too.......... But that was many years ago. |
