Greeting fellow kaleuns.

After 5 months of shore leave exploring the delights of a new girlfriend, I am hoping to return to sea. My home port has changed, so I will need a laptop to run it on. Can anyone give me advice on the spec of laptop I would need to run SH3 sucessfully?

Welcome back! :salute:

We had a thread on this subject a while ago...

Given as SH3 is about a four year old game now just about any laptop with a decent card and RAM should be able to run it.

:salute:Welcome Tango :salute:

Try to get a specification that is capable for running the GWX3 and SH3 Commander add-ons, available by following the links in my signature. A reasonably good graphics card and 2GB of RAM should suffice.

Well, it may be a bit over kill, but....

I just bought an asus w90. it cost a penny (2000) but it can play any game. I used to play on an old laptop that i thought was good enough , till i found this web spot and saw everyones' pics. An upgrade was made. It is like night and day. It may not be what your looking for but man is it nice!!!!!

I never knew that there were birds, or lightning, or water in Sh3 before I bought a rig that could render all the good stuff.

Good luck with your hunt, make sure you spend time on shore leave though.

Cheers for all the welcomes! After a steady supply of multivitamins I feel my strength is back to suitable levels to engage in warfare with Churchill's fishing tubs. I'll report back when I have a laptop to conduct my duties on.

:arrgh!:
