Isnt there a tea party he is missing out on? I mean the whole idea was stolen from Ron Paul supporters just like this whole new states rights thing. |
I agree with the Governor...
wire taps. TSA. just to name a couple of the issues here. God Bless Texas.... even a rat knows when to get off a sinking ship... and i hate to say it but the USA is sinking in a sea of sh*t |

To be fair, Republicans have certainly done their part to advance the socialist agenda. For the most part, they have actually made government bigger. Still, they garner a lot of support because people think they are less harmful than the Democrats. That's debateable, but I wouldn't go around making mocking statements about fears of socialism in the wake of a trillion-dollar "stimulus" bill that just happens to include a wishlist for about two decades' worth of Democratic social spending. I, for one, am glad to see the reactionary movement that has formed in this decade. Liberals and conservatives alike are growing increasingly frustrated with the Federal government. Support for such a movement at the state level, even if it only ends up being lip-service, is significant. It reflects a shifting public opinion, and I'm proud that Texas is showing signs of real political change. |
Warm up the muskets! Imagine, a state governor uttering the S-word

It actually might be interesting to see all the internet tough guy "not givin up my guns for nuthin!" (despite the fact that noone is talking about taking them) crowd go up against the 82nd airborne and a couple of tank divisions. We should put it on pay per view.

But that's ok, keep wishing for a civil war. You might just get one. |

When I was watching the tea parties on the news, I suddenly saw what the purpose was and I can say I am totally onboard.
It became clear to me when I heard the crowd chanting No to Texas! No to Texas! :D |
No to Texas leaving, you mean :O:

Considering that alot of those "guys" as you call them are probably ex or current military. All of the military veterans I know are pro gun! Marines in my experiance being the most gun loving. So getting the army to squash the very ideals of the Constitution they are supposed to support isnt gonna happen. Also if you try to use the military to disarm the citizen you might find revolts in the military itself! And its "No more taxes" not Texas! lol |
