Would people like this.

We sink the same ships over and over. Little unrealistic to sink the Yamato 10 times per career. I would love that once a capital ship is sunk...you see it no more. Not sure if it could be done, but that would make a mod realistic. Probably difficult to deal with possible battle layers if a ship doesn't show up that was programmed to be there, if it were already sunk.

Its impossible to do cuz every missions have thier own consist and if "yamamoto" is on severly missions it will show up no matter if it has been sunk in a previous mission.

Only solution is to make just 1 mission where the ship is in and if you then are lucky you will get that mission during your carrier.

But to be realistic, not many submarines saw thos big battle ships during the war nor sunk them.

Btw was any of thos BB ship sunk during the war by any submarines?

you could use the campaign editor and rewrite the campaign so you dont see the yamatos but random units are created in the game and you do see those repeated ships.

no way to have one sunk and its gone because for specific battles they must be there or the game would crash.

ships need to be duplicated, for instance if you go sink the yamato in port then it cant go join the task force its supposed to be in for a historic battle so then the game would suck that way too because of unrealistic task force for that battle.

can you imaging the battle of midway if no carriers showed up?

Yes one was sunk by by a sub. The Shinano was a yamato hull but was converted into a very large carrier. It was sunk on November 29 1944 by four torpedoes from the USS Archer-fish.
