What can I say.:dead:

Hopefully she never goes to any reptile zoos in Australia.:woot:

What an immensly stupid human being. If she became bear chow it would have been sad because they would probably put the bears down.

Really?
I doubt it. They already know bears kill people.

And of course in this case anyone would demand to kill all polar bears in Germany or even close all Zoos because it is so dangerous. But with all those reports about morons commiting school shootings these days, everyone talks about abolishing (fire-)arms here, lol.

Actually the woman is mentally deranged. So this has nothing to do with stupidity and definitely does not deserve a Darwin Award (even if she had died). Ann odd thing non the less...

I dunno, this seems pretty explainable with the stupidity case

No darwin award because she didn't die (or otherwise got removed from the gene pool) though...

stabiz 04-13-09 04:52 AM

I read she did it to "swim with the polar bears". :yeah:

Schroeder 04-13-09 05:25 AM

On German news they said that she is deranged.

Skybird 04-13-09 05:28 AM

The woman is psychologically unstable. She has problems, lost her job and lives by lowest social wellfare (Hartz-IV, some 300 Euros).

The bear area is safe as far as the bears trying to get out is concerned. Saving the audience from itself, is something different. Stupid fools should be fed, I think. Ill people like in this example should be helped. however, changing the whole area just because of two incidents (it is already the second time somebody jumps to the bears, I think).

It may have something to do with one of the bears in Berlin having come to fame as a puppy. The pictures of little "Knut" playing with his keeper (who meanwhile died), went around the globe.

bookworm_020 04-13-09 05:29 AM

Maybe she should try coming to Australia and kissing a snake or two?? Who says the fences were to keep the animals in??

IMO I would say yes, because it is like when a wild lion in Africa gets the taste for human flesh it becomes a man eater and has to be hunted down and killed. These bears even though in a zoo would be no different. They would see the otherwise pesky people who come to the zoo as being something to eat.

Heres some video on the incident
