D-Day, Suez Canal etc.

I always have been curious wether events like D-day are scripted in shiii. And did anyone of you ever try to cross the suez and/or panama canal?

i believe the scripted events were mentioned in the manual, i havent tried to go to D-Day to get some kills yet.(still in 1939 with my carreer).
in another carreer i did try to cross the suez canal, but the british destroyers were a pain in the *** :D.
i got depthcharged before i could enter it.
This was while using GWX, in stock sh3 it isnt scripted i think.

I'm pretty Allied installations like the Suez and Panama canal have some rather nasty defense like minefields, patrols and coastal guns. Picking those canal locks wouldn't be easy.

In GWX3.0 the Suez Canal does have scripted traffic and D-Day is also covered, but there's nothing of interest in the Panama Canal http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...ies/pirate.gif

I just made some new buildings, etc. for Sh3 for D-Day and the french coast.. but it won´t be available as single mod... nevertheless you could take it and build into your sh3 version when my new mod version is ready:

In GWX2.1, I, as Captain Von Liebe (see my death card), crossed the Suez Canal to go to Mogadishu and back. Sunk 3 destroyers in the Great Bitter lake on the outbound journey. I was able to avoid detection on the way back.
