U-46 Sunk off West Coast of Britain -44 crew lost
 

U-46 Was Dc'ed for over 4 hours by 8 Warships with both electric engines destroyed, compressor not working. Both periscopes destroyed and other damage. The captain set tubes 1 thru 4 for a salvo at a 5 degree spread and blew ballast. All hands were lost in 120m seas. Not Your Grandmothers Mod! :yeah:

All hands lost? the picture shows your boat at the surface. Maybe you should have order abandon ship.

Is it possible to order abandon ship in the game?

What was the point of the 4 eel salvo? Just hoping to get a lucky hit or did you need to lose the weight in order to surface?

You can't abandon ship or surrender in game so I tried a salvo to see if I could take any of the destroyers with me to the bottom.:D In RL I would have to scuttle my boat but the DD's took care of it in about 15 to 20 seconds :nope:
EDIT- NYGM is a tough mod. At least 6 of the DD's that attacked me were not from the convoy but came as reinforcements from local ports or patrols. This was in that channel on West side of Britain with a narrow long island on the other side. I honestly believe that if I had not been destroyed these DD's would have followed me until I ran out of air.

That is probably the Isle of Man...not much depth under the keel there :shifty:

Not in game but if your using SH3 Commander you can change your fate to 'surrendered'.
