An interesting insight to the 'class warefare' mentality of these crews.
Ive been on a couple of cruises as a pasenger and these lines of distinction were fairly obvious to me. However the vast majority of the cattle (passengers) were oblivious to it. Being berthed beneath the gym isnt so bad, try getting a berth directly above the bent screws. Espically fun when running at flank :rotfl: |
So what's the first thing I do? Leave a comment on his grammar!:rotfl:

Only ever been on the passenger side....thankfully :DL

Anyone who thinks working on a cruise ship is a paid vacation is in for a rude surprise.

The guy was a guest entertainer. He WAS a paid passenger. Seriously, couples hours of work a week, great pay, access to passenger areas and restaurants. Woe is him.
Compare to the actual crew, who make an average of about 1000$ a month, work about 80 hours a week and aren't allowed in passengers area unless they're working. Also, some of them get to clean the gray water holding tank - Trust me, it's worst than you'd think. One thing he's spot on, tho, is the usual crew reaction to guest entertainers. There's a reason for that. The article itself is a good example. |
