External Camera not stopping

I was enjoying the external camera and was panning and zooming all around. I was especially enjoying the view of my boat at periscope depth from above when I noticed my camera was no longer following my boat. It was moving it another, entirely different direction. It would do this in any view - control room, on deck etc. Any Ideas?

I have similar issues, but only with moving up and down. If I press the 'move camera down' button it sometimes gets 'stuck' and the camera keeps diving. Pressing the button again usually cures the problem. But by then I'm already miles away from my sub at a depth of 300m seeing nothing but.. ehm.. darkness..:dead:
Usually it takes a while for me to find my sub again.

Pressing F11 will bring the external cam back to your sub.

Never had a panning problem myself. Sounds like a key sticking problem to me.

Well no, that's the problem... usually it does but not always when something like this happens. And in my case it is kind of a key sticking problem yeah, only there's nothing wrong with my keyboard.
Anyway, it doesn't happen that often so I can cope with it.

Yep, I have that problem, coffee on the keyboard......sometimes I have to bang on it a few times.

I think he may have been refering to a stuck key inside the program triggering mechanism, as in the "keyfile"

I'll try the f11 key and hitting the pan down key again, if the problem happens again. Thanks for the advice. Happened twice to me last night - maybe now that the computer is rebooted the problem will go away - never happened before. Maybe it was the windy weather blowing the camera around!

I've had this happen too - once in a great while (rarely) - and just live with it. Typically for me the F-11 cam wants to go deep. After saving (out of range of any contacts), re-booting, and re-loading the save, everything is back to normal.

I see this bug as well. I find the easiest way to clear it up is just to ALT-TAB out of the application.

Sounds like a quite common but rare bug. I must admit that I do the same as aanker, if rebooting means restart SH4 and not the pc.

I think a full re-boot will fix it. The first time it happened, I just reloaded the game and at first it was fine, but the problem returned. I haven't seen the problem again since I re-booted.
