RSRD Large Convoy
 

I've played for about 3 months now with TMORSRD. I've ran into many large convoys, but nothing like tonight. It contained about 46 merchants and many dd's. I counted over 50 ships. Just thought it strange I have never seen this before. Date was Feb13,42. I was in the narrow pass east of Tawi Tawi..the shipping lane there. The ships were fully loaded and most went with one M10.

Was this programmed by RSRD? Thought maybe game was bugged or mods loaded screwed something up, but game running fine and mods should be OK.

Is there a limit to the number of ships in a convoy or TF, if so, what is the largest?

My guess is that it isn't an accident. Feb 13 42--without checking, I'd say that it's an invasion force headed for Celebes, Bali or Timor. Borneo had already been conquered by the end of January so that's out... Lurker doesn't typically do things like that by accident so I'd bet it is a historical force. He has a few of those scattered around the Pacific :03:.

Love running loaded ships with trucks, ammo, ect. Nice when you find cargo stacked high and the ships have a much more powerful explosion.
I took about 20 SS's, some of the best. You couldn't miss, just shoot and you hit something.

Hehe I had that large convoy in a mission also.

3 ships sunk by them self due colliding into each other when i spread havoc whit my fish.

And 2 destroyers was sunk in the blast from exploding ships cuz they was to close :):rock:

I shot at two targets from the stern, hite them both. What was funny, the ship behind each of those crashed into it sinking 4. Lot of rubbernecking in the game.

I've not seen the convoy you described. What I've seen a couple times is a convoy of 14 merchants completely surrounded by a close in circle of 15 escorts. I didn't attack.
