To bad it didn't work that well this day. :dead:
But we have had some problems in the beginning with my squadron too. After some time you get used to the airfield and then it is no longer a concern.:yep: |
My apology for the venting a bit there, but I was too tired to start this campaign especialy after how it went.
ok, I can enable the free cam...but I rather dont...we have to learn how to do this without the help of the free cam anyway. Oberon, thanks for the effort to start a thread for the new campaign, stickied :yeah: HunterICX |
I'm downloading a whole bunch of skin packs for the 357th. m4t has loads of them.
PS can we shoot down chuck yeager? |
No probs Hunter, least I could do for the Yoxford Boys :yeah: I understand what you mean about the airfield though, it is a bugger to navigate, but what I think might be a good idea is if we stick as much as we can to the same planes each time, so that we'd be in the same squadron in each sortee, from the looks of it I was in the 364 Moat Farm squadron for the last 3 gos.
At least if we're in the same squadrons we know where we have to go for take-off, for me it was right and then first left :salute: After that it's a long fly over into occupied Holland and Germany, and then we have some 262s to tangle with :haha: I wonder if we can rival the 357ths kill count? I know Chuck Schroeder might :haha: |
What kinda campaign is this? Custom map? What planes? Do I need to download something if I wanna join in? When's the next sortie?

@Dowly
P-51s, P-38s, P-47s and Spitfires. The campaign is fictious so there will be other squadrons around soon (so I don't think that staying in the same plane will always give you the same location to start from). We usually fly on Mon. Wed. and Friday at the "normal " time. @All Guys you have tp be careful. Don't get too close to the walls and don't panick if you can't stay up with the follow-me bus. If you get lost ask some people who are already in the air for guidance or simply taxi to something that looks like a runway and look whether it is free and not blocked by bulldozers or supplies.:yep: |
I already have a custom skin. Xabba's Revenge, nothing too much just a bright green anti-glare panel infront of the cockpit and the name on each side.
Also been practicing combat in QMB with the Mustang. She is fast but you have to be really gentle on the stick. Ease into moves, nothing sharp in pitch. Also shouldn't the P-51 have a gyro gunsight? If I fiddle with my bomb aiming controls I get to choose different fighter wingspans but see no difference in the reticle. |

I don't like the P-51, wish we had Mossies in the campaign |

However, we did have a B-17 and B-24 group over at USAF Debach: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...3bg-debach.jpg As well as a B-17 group at RAF Framlingham, the control tower of which is now a fantastic little museum with some lovely displays that I've visited a couple of times :yeah: http://www.controltowers.co.uk/F/ima...lingham_43.jpg |
Oh, and Schroeder, show this to your boss and congratulate him on spelling Leiston right when even our local council has problems :haha:

I'd be interseted in doing this campaign if anyone else wants to.
|
What P-38 models are in the campaign as I'll make myself a custom skin for that too.
|
@Xabba
Does it matter? P38 skins should work fine on all P38 models. @Oberon As I said several times before, the campaign is fictious. We will not get the original Liston squadrons and planes. The campaing was inspired by a Liston offline campaign but from mission no. 2 on it is just the fantasy of my squad. leader. I think there are no flyable bombers in the campaign.:doh: |
