I have been writing about my adventures in my XXI in my Battle of the Atlantic (X) thread. The new boat was fun and powerful, but over the last few days I have missed my leaky old Type VII/B. So today I climbed back aboard U-45! Now back to the Atlantic to get depth charged! :yeah:

You need the old boats that make you feel mortal to appreciate the god-like rush of commanding the Type XXI. :)

ahhh. felt good to be back out in the good old type VII/B. She's a cozy boat. :DL

true essence of SH3 is these boats and just trying to survive.

I know the feeling. VII/B is my favorite sub. I don't change it until VIIC/41

What a coincidence, I started a new career (the first in a long time) just yesterday.....U-45 Type VIIB. :)

Guess what - new career, in a type VII/B. A much reliable boat in the early years of the war.
