[Needed] Barnacles on hull for IJN subs
http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/6885/barnacles.jpg
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/679...nstarboard.jpg http://img240.imageshack.us/img240/4...tsternport.jpg well here's another small thing : given the few short months they actually were used it seems that the I-400 Sen Toku class was already covered in barnacles on the parts of the hull that are always submerged. I guess it wouldn't be so different for fleet boats : how can we mod this ? - maybe a normal (bump) map of the underside of the hull ? keltos |
barnicles ?
IS it really important to add barnicles to your boats Keltos ..? I do recall that barnicals are a result of a ship or boat sitting in one place for a long period of time ? perhaps I am wrong .. You have done alot of work.. Thank you

They'd have been scraped off for any boat seeing actual use.

I'd be curious to know if those pictures were taken after the war when the ships sat idle for months in port while they were being demilitarized and inspected by the USN. Seems like an excessive amount of marine growth. That much barnacle growth would so hinder a sub's speed that you might as well mod in a slower speed too.

might be cause they sat idle at the peer...
I was just wondering that's all, maybe a little marine growth then ? ;) keltos |
anyone ?
|
Hmm... im sure its possiable... maby, err bump maps... with a slightly grown on hull texture...:hmmm:
|
No active boat would make a patrol looking like that.
A boat trapped in a warm port... not worth bothering with, frankly—unless you want to roleplay a slob for a skipper. |
Are those oars sticking out the sides some kinda stealth power ? :03: :rotfl2:
