I know forgot to put in the settings in the sim. It will be fixed in my first update.
|
I have updated The playable Montana fixed rear turret rotation and one playable aa gun rotation and elevation. beta1.1
|
released beta 1.2 Occlusion map now working ship is much darker ingame now
|
Kudos!
Nicely done! A little bit better with each version, just like any good beta! Keep it up! :yeah:
|
Still missing turrets 2, 3, and 4 and there's an oddly skewed skin on the model... all streaks.
|
I have uploaded a fix for the texture. The missing turrets I don't understand why because the 2, 3 and 4 turrets are stock NBB Iowa turrets. They work fine on my install. I have v1.5. It may not work with 1.4. You may be able to change USA_Montana.eqp to make all the guns the same as Node M01 in the first line. Copy this "16in_Deck_Gun_US" to M02, M03 and M04. Replace "16in_Iowa_turret_US" in the LinkName places.
|
I fixed the download also now beta 1.3.
|
Well, I'm using stock SH4... that Montana made with a modded game?
Changed those lines... still not showing up. |
If you are going to take someones hard work and call it your own, at least REMAP THE IDs. Some people do like to play multiplayer and they will conflict.

unbelievable ... :nope:
I believe Peabody made the Iowa that you call Montana..... http://files.filefront.com/USA+Iowa4.../fileinfo.html |
Hmph.
If you swiped an idea and built upon it without asking for permission OR giving credit where credit is due, you blundered badly. I don't post much, but I read damned near every post about modding here, as I'm tinkering and trying to learn how to create an SHIV version of an uberboat like Mush Martin's for gun action and so forth. The community, as you might have noticed, is very small. It's intimate. And it polices itself.
Ask next time. Most modelers love sharing their work, because most of us love making the game different, better, and more varied. But to take someone's work and build upon it with NO credit is just tacky. And with 87 posts to your credit, you should know that. |
Well now,
Best way to remedy this. Jmardlin, remove the mod link, and have a moderator close this thread. |

Well, Jmardlin fixed that problem and I appreciate it. What I don't appreciate is the fact he would not tell me what he did. So it seems it's ok to take my work, but not ok to help me, by showing me my mistake. So the two way steet became "One way-Do not enter". Just "you need to renumber when you comment out stuff" I did that!!!! And since every file right down to the two AA guns on the front that are different than the rest, because the shielded guns didn't have sights on them, are from my Playable Iowa, (except for the added turret) so it seems to me the "mistake" was not major so why not share. I am not looking for a pat on the back, just a little respect. I will help anyone with anything!! Just don't appreciate the 'One way" help. And by putting in a ship with Identical IDs it could very well cause conflicts. That is why Mikhayl wrote a turorial on how to do it and Remap the IDs to prevent this. I consider this my last comment on this. Enjoy your ships, but please remap the ids so it won't cause problems. And I will figure out how to 'fix' the ships myself when I finish the Japanese Campaign. And at least the community will get the benifit of two more playable surface ships. Although I appreciate the support, I would prefer the community get the ships to use rather than close the thread. I will make no more comments regardless of what comments get posted. So, this will not turn into a big ugly mess. It's not about credit, it's about respect. Peabody |
