What will get you better FPS?
 

I am using an "older" Dell 9100 Pentium D at 3.0 Ghz w/ 2 GB Ram. I am going to be upgrading my ATI x1600 pro to a "Diamond Viper 3650PE1G ATI Radeon HD 3650 PCIE 1024MB GDDR2 Video Card" and I was wondering if this is really going to give me a boost in Frame Rates, or is SH4 more of a processor intensive application? I figured it's worth a try so I thought I should go for it. It's funny that not more than a few months went by after I purchase my computer and then intel released the "Core 2" processors. How is one supposed to stay current in the computer market? Any replies welcome. :)

Go to Options-Graphics, then uncheck everything in the left column pllus v-sync in the right column. You can enable the other items in the right column. Go find a free program called AlacrityPC. Install it and run it prior to entering the game. I have a somewhat older and less rig than you and if I do the above the game runs smoothly and looks great. I use TMO and RSRD mods.

also ubm v1.5 ad-on makes sh4 work better because the game engine works better and needs less computer than regular sh4 v1.4 does
