TawiTawi Mystery Mission, TMO/RSRD

It is now the middle of 1943.

I was sent to the north coastline of Tawi Tawi to rescue 4 Aviators.
Been on station for over a week and seen nothing other than Japanese merchants in the straights. No aircraft, no airmen, no survivors of any kind. Sat dead in the water at the location for days and seen nothing.

I've searched within 50nm of the marked area and still nothing.

Is this mission FUBAR?

Using TMO 1.6.3 with the appropriate version of RSRD on top.

Maybe they got caught and had their heads chopped off.
