tecnical assistance needed
 

recently my PC crashed and after that Silent Hunter 4 sgowed some abnormal messages nothing shocking but some flag fuiles were missing. So i decided i uninstall the game and reinstall it again to get rid of the problem.

well the problem is now that i cannot reinstall the game :cry:

wenn i put in the disc the little screen with options pops up, but the option install stays dark and cannot be chosen. the option play gives an error *(could not play programm) which is normal since i inistalled the game but the option uninstall i can choose also but gives the following error Appname:_isc4.exe Appver:12.0.0.49985 ModName:_isc4exe ModVer: 12.0.0.49985 Offset:001e48b what does this mean and what can i do about it so that i can install the game again??

What i did i started a search for all old files on my my HD with the name silent hunter 4 and deleted those. but that didn't help

Anyone got an idea?

I see ModName in the error code you posted. Did you get rid of all the mods? Did you delete the UBISoft folder that is created when the game was loaded before? Dump that UBISoft folder found in your program files. Make sure the SH4 folder in the MY DOCUMENTS folder is deleted. See if she will load then.
