its 44' got a mission to patrol around honshu... near the entrance to yokosuka... after the end of the patrol which is unfruitfull i decided to harbor raid yokusuka for some tonnage and ecountered an a stationary takao cruiser and a midget submarine couple with some merchies, sunk the bigger cruiser first and turn my attention to the jap midjet sub.. seeing it is small i fired only one mk23 torp after hitting it with a torp it just bounce off the water,, bounce again in some buildings in the harbor and back to the water... and as i examined it closely i noticed it has no damage as if nothing hit it... is that jap midget sub mod related or just stock currently using PE 4...

The midget sub is a stock sub. And stock AI subs are indeed impossible to sink :roll:
So don't worry, it's not that you did anything wrong with the torpedoes or something. It's just the new Japanese undestructible superweapon.:yep:

Hah, that's nothing. I've seen a Fuso BB bounce around on land once. It was a funny thing, to say the least.:rotfl:

I hit him three times while in a harbor, but because of shallow water, it didn't sink. I left it there to rot, then I decided I will not let this go. I realoaded right after the torps hit her, and as soon as the game finished loading, the Fuso shoot into the sky (I guess becasue of clipping issues). After she finished wreaking havoc in the docks, it landed in one of the bays, completely flattening a small freighter. :P

The fact that right after this, a small frigate-like ship sailed out upside-down was not the least suprising. :D

in another of my patrol... yet again i encountered that sub in the same spot... it was really indestructible.. fired on it and it just goes bouncing around under the water after it just refloats intact... is that thing that sticks out of its bow torpedoes??

not quite, the "AI sen toku" mod by miner 1436 fixes the sen toku sub so it can be sunk and gives you the reknown for it and it rendomly will appear at sea in the game now but only on the surface and it doesnt fire torpedos at anything. sadly the midget sub has not been fixed so it is still unsinkable still. :nope:

yeah, but the sen toku has been modded to sink, so isn't really a stock sub anymore.
Unmodded AI subs can't be sunk.
