SUBSIM Radio Room Forums - Error Message when updating

Strangest thing, reinstalled SH3 (digital download version) so I could install GWX 3. When I tried to patch it (using the 1.4b, the dang thing told me "de_menu.txt" unknown version. What the hey? So it won't let me patch version 1.0, so I cant play GWX. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I stuck with vanilla?

EDIT: tried to "repair" installation of the game; no good. still cant find the same file. am trying an uninstall now, will reinstall and see how it works. Good thing the Eagles arent in the Super Bowl or else I wouldn't even bother with it tonight!

EDITx2: tried to reinstall, thought maybe because i didnt choose to install acrobat it might have something to do with the error message. so i did that and....NOPE! what gives? anyone else have this problem and know a fix? if not, i know a staples nearby that sells SH2 and SH3 in a "value" pack for like 10 bucks that i will have to pick up tomorrow.
