VIIB to VIIC is it worth 3K?
 

Is it worth spending 3k renoun on a 7C? I dont see much of a differance from the VIIB! Slower, max depth same, range same, loadout the same. Can dive slightly faster. Or should I just eat the whole enchilada and buy a IXB?

Any other diff between the later type VII im missing? Differant tower? More flak ability?

No no no, those 5 seconds can save your life from an angry plane... though you might sink less ships in one.

If you want to sink ships, regardless of risk, go for the IXb. Personally, I don't really like the US east coast much (!), but its lucrative.

The VIIC has many more upgrades available to it than the VIIB and that 5 second reduction will seem like a lifetime when an angrey Mosquito is after your blood.

Conning towers that allow for more flak guns, is one I can think of off the top of my head. I don't believe the VIIB gets any turm upgrades.

I think the VIIb gets one or two, but less than the VIIc. VIIc can also dive deeper, right?

radar, radar warning recievers, snorkel, conning towers...some other stuff i can't think of now. i think also the BOLD's

Well I got the VIIC but now I really miss the VIIB!:wah:

I think its the net cutter on the front I miss so much as the VIIC just looks naked without one!

best decision of ur life there, LOL...yes VIIC is much better in my opinion, faster dive time, more upgrades, and u can get the VIIC 41, and 42.

I say yes, its worth it. I can dive deeper to 200m in VIIC without worrying about hull crush over fragile VIIB. Also more upgrades. I think 3000 renown is too small for a VIIC, should be 5000 or more. Hard to believe a snorkel cost more in renown than a u-boat.
