Finished University today...
Today, I passed the 1st state exam in law.
Written exams were in September, but I only got the results two weeks ago. Oral exams were today and went really well, with a A (in US parlance) in civil and criminal law and a B- in public law. Not a laywer yet, but I'm now officially a university graduate. Have to do 1 1/2 years Referendariat before I'm a finished Jurist, though. But that is a paid state apprenticeship and in those times of crisis, a not very well paid state job is not bad either... Maybe, I'm going for a juris doctor, but not sure yet. After all of that, either state attourney (if any state wants me) or layer (labour law or real estate).... I'm not nearly as drunk as Dowly's friday rant yet, but I spent more money on it (1 bottle of Veuve Cliquot) than your average finn spends for a whole evening. Now I'm heading into town to get real drunk  |
Congratulations AntEater!

Very cool (except the getting drunk part). Congratulations and best wishes on your success! |
Congrats! I think laws are, second to medicine only, one of the most learning-intensive studies you can do at university!?
|
Congratulations! Real estate could be good money, they will change hands alot during this economic crisis.:hmm:
|
Congratulations
Yeah, better a less paid job than nothing. And one can always be on lookout for something better to turn up... ;) |
Congrats, hope the beers cold and the company good.
|
Well done mate, I know that that is no mean feat!
Falk, i think they like warm beer up that way... |
Congratulations! But you are actually a 'graduand'. At least you would be in the UK, where you do not become a graduate until after the degree award ceremony.
|
Congratulations.
So I take it you've completed the American equivalent of undergrad, and are going to further pursue the American equivalent of a JD? Sorry for being so Ameri-centric. :) PD |
