Little Renown
 

Ahoy,
I have just returned to base after 4 months out of port in the Mid & North Atlantic and a couple of port raids on Gibralta.
I refueled twice in Thalia and and finally on my way home to Wilsheimen i engaged a convoy and sank various medium/large merchants and a southampton class cruiser.
I was quite suprised when I returned to base port that after 4 months away and sinking over 70000 tones of shipping that I only had 5300 renown as I havnt spent it on anything yet (April 1940), and this includes the renown from my previous 12 patrols, I average about 30-40 thousand tonnes on each patrol!:doh:

The amount of renown you earn is dependent on the realism level you have set for your patrols. For example, I am currently playing at 74% realism which means that for every 1,000 of potential renown I will get 805. You only get the full amount if you play at 100% realism. Perhaps it is this that is having an affect on you renown total. What is the realism level you are playing at?

im currently playing at 73% which i would've thought high enough for a decent earning of renown after so many patrols including the sinking of the Rodney and 2 southampton cruisers amongst the many many ships too, i just though it may be to do with all the addons ive got, maybe i had bugged the renown structure!!!

Southamptons are worth 450 a pop and the Rodney is 1400. So ((450 X 2)+1400) .73 = 1679 on those 3 ships alone.

I don't think your renown total is too out of line.
