Crash and I dont mean crash dive!
Well 4 hours into a very succesfull patroll I was about ready to dock at the sub tender in the neutral port 20 miles NW of Gibralter as my Type VII was below 10% fuel 20 minutes ago. When What do I see but a rather large merchant steaming in my direction! I fire off my remaining torpedos and nail him! I sent a total of 10 ships= roughly 57000 tons to the bottom this cruise and im almost to port less than 15 KM when I hit that button in the crew screen that says surface running. GWX told me not to do it but I forgott and I got a shiny new desktop veiw (Game crashed!) ARRRGHHHHH!!!!!!:damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn:

<-- Is very happy he never got into the habit of using the crew assignment buttons
I wonder if there is any way to remove them... |
That would be enough to really p*ss me off too.:damn:
I used to be able to use those buttons when I played the stock game without any problems. Now I avoid them like the plague. Guess it's one of those hit or miss things; some people experience crashes while others don't. |
as long as it dos not happen randomly when you have destryoed a whole harbour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(like me) |
Well, for whatever reason I have never experienced crashes with the crew buttons either in GWX or stock. But I don't use them because they assign the crew in stupid ways. My most common cause of crashing is looking too far outside my patrol area using the map. (Maybe even looking at the Indian Ocean will crash you if you don't have those files installed, even if you don't actually go there)
