Cannot End Patrol
Set of from Java, did a long patrol, refuelled in Midway, then went to the Phillpines & sank three merchants. By this time Java was invaded and Asiatic fleets was now based in Freemantle.
However, at Freemantle, the "End Patrol" button was greyed out. I'm stuck now. What to do? Using RFB 1.52 |
1) Make sure that the port symbol has a tilted anchor, If it doesn't look for one on the nav. map. The tilted anchor is your home port. If Freemantle is tilted you might try to refit and leave the port and return. It's just a though, I have never tried it. I've never had a home port problem.
Sometimes the game gets behind on home port changes. The Dutch West Indies is a target rich area, go sink some Japs and try to port a little later. 1a) I assume that you have saved and quit the game, reloading the save might update your home port. ???????? I once refitted in Saipan just after it showed as a US port, as I was leaving, just going to high TC I started getting reports of damage. Even though I refitted there it seems like the DD I saw patrolling was a Jap and he sank me. I had saved just before so I reloaded the save and proceeded to sink the DD and all the Jap ships in Saipan harbor. 2) You might try to fight your way into Java and see if the Japs will let you end your patrol there. I'm sure they will. :know: 3) Send your wife a post card telling her you might be late getting home from the war. :rotfl: Magic452 |
