Just about to install Gold Edition and have a question

I already have SHIV ver 1.4 and have just bought the Gold Edition which includes the U-Boat stuff. Will it prompt me just to "upgrade" 1.4 or is this a total re-install type add-on?

Total unistall and reinstall. Sorry I don't have a better answer. :D

Uninstall 1.4 and install 1.5 (Gold Edition).

IIRC, your saved games/careers from stock 1.4 will transfer into stock 1.5.

Uninstall wasn't necessary

I took a chance and fired in the new DVD. It immediately prompted me with the message "updating installed version 1.4 to 1.5" (or words to that effect).
So, long story short, the only thing I had to do was 'undo' my mods (I only had TMO and RSRD) and the Gold Edition installed smoothly.

One thing I immediately noticed was the faster load time to start the game etc. The only other thing I've noticed so far as being different than 1.4 is the crew/sub status screen etc.

Now I'll have to DL the 1.5 version of TMO and RSRD. D'oh!!!;)
