Medal bug/error
November 1939, after a patrol, received the german cross!!! Before, after my second patrol, I got the U-boat Frontbadge! :88)
Many time during the campaigns that I have played, I received the frontbadge, before is time, but always thought that was some kind of bug related with renown, etc. I just ignored it, but manage to get the medals with the correct order. The irons crosses and the u-boat badge. I think the only time I got the medals and the badge in the correct order was one campaign in GWX 1.03! Is there a way to fix it? |
Check your basic config file and make sure it is correct. See:http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=147050

The problem is not from there! Anyone has some idea? |
A while ago I asked about this same issue and I think that it was Penelope Grey who said that said that they were working on a mod to correct the way medals are awarded in the game. I haven't seen anything about the mod since then so I'm assuming that real life commitments got in the way.
There have been a couple of careers where I've received the Iron Cross 2nd class at the end of one patrol, skipped over the 1st class and got the Fried Egg (German Cross) at the end of the next one. Had to wait until I finished another patrol before getting the 1st class. |

Never knowed that name for the that medal. And I like it! Even in GWX 2.1 I had medal errors, but it was only the award of the frontclasp. Noting like this. If they get a way of the medals being award as in real life, separated of renown, that would be great! |

If anyone's interested here's a link detailing the medal's history, manufacture, etc. http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/germ...cross_main.htm. Quite interesting... |
