The white hat.

Ahoy!

So, I've finally gotten myself a white hat to wear while commanding my U-boat. Unfortunately, it's not an actual U-boat hat. Does anyone know where I might be able to find the actual emblem that should be on that hat so I can feel like a real geek... er, I mean kaleun?

Anyway, here's the hat:

I have a nice repro that may interest you if you wear a large.

There is a something or other Mutze store that sell reproduction uniforms

You may try googling Kriegsmarine mutze

I have a tremendously huge noggin, so I try to get the largest size possible. :arrgh!:

They have all sorts of other Kriegsmarine hats too. :yep:

Very good. Nice quality at a very good price. Once you sink 100,000 tons get a knights cross to go with it!

MauserKar98k 01-21-09 06:58 PM

White hat?? What white hat?? :arrgh!:

Actually anything under 100$ USC for a good repro isnt bad.

It costs money to make those things. If you think thats pricey trying Ebaying a real one. :yep:

Hanomag 01-21-09 07:23 PM

BTW thats the guy I got mine from and you can ask for the eagle as a pin or patch, your choice. Its not shown in the pic because its verboten by Ebay!! :hmm:

You guys have no imagination at all. :nope:

I bought the same yachting cap at K-Mart $10.00

Went to a sewing shop with a sized picture of what I wanted them to make on their computer operated embroidery machine and had it in 15 minutes with the iron-on backing. $17.00

Total Price $27.00 Plus I had 2 beers next door. :D

Or like me, one can buy a white mutze cap from the bundesmarine for 30€, buy the leaves, kokarde and the kriegsmarine metal eagle for 10$ each or cheaper and make a great u-boat kaleunt white cap. The only drawback is the golden buttons on the side that are different. But barely noticeable!.

Here a link for a original kokarde:
