Radio messages station
 

From SH3's manual about radio messages station and sending/receiving messages:
1. Send contact report - sending contact reports can result Luftwaffe or Kriegsmarine attack
2. Send patrol report - if you send patrol report BdU may relocate you to a new patrol grid
3. Request orders - BdU may send you to another grid to patrol
4. Request escort to base - available in the proximity of a German base

Did you notice that?

Wow,Din't know that,Apart from luftwaffe/kriegsmarine support. How do you request orders or an escort?

My understanding is that the only function actually in the game is the possibility of Luftwaffe attack based on a contact report. There is some (low) probability, and it only occurs if you are within range of a German air base. The other 'options' were never put into the stock game.
