A Way to Lower the Waves?

Hi all...I play GWX 3.0 with S-Boote mod on...The new OLC mod included with the latest version of Grey Wolves is superb, but sometimes my boat is destroyed by the rough seas:damn: . Are there ways to avoid that problem? Thanks
