Speaking of salute, this bloke had the chief of the defence force salute him!! There are (were) only 2 2 other people who he'd salute, the PM or the governor general. (or the queen should she visit).

Been a long time since the VC was awarded to anyone. Incredible bravery by the soldier to do that for his fellow soldiers and the afghan translator.

Not quite true falk, there were a couple i believe awrded to poms from early on in the iraq piece.

Johnson Beharry received the Victoria cross in 2005 for actions in Iraq in 2004
